DAY 13: 22 Weeks

Today, I reached the 22 week mark. Here is what is going on developmentally:

Baby is 11 to 14 inches long
Weight is about 1 3/4 to 2 pounds
Baby can hear and recognize mom's voice
Eyelids begin to part
Eyes open sometimes for short periods of time
Skin is covered with protective coating called vernix
Baby is able to hiccup
Footprints and fingerprints continue forming
Alveoli (air sacs) are forming in lungs

Hey Ashley,
Okay, you may get this twice, not sure, but wanted to say that I'm so glad that Sam could bring some sunshine to your day. We'll come see you again soon!!! Hang in there and dont listen to bozos who dont know how to be positive. I just know that you will be fine and everything will turn out okay.
